Yoshifumi Matsubara Standard+ Trio
Description:
After working in the United States, he won the Grand Prize at the 2016 Gibson Jazz Guitar Contest. Keishi Matsubara, one of the essential guitarists in the Japanese jazz scene, recorded and mixed this live album by himself. This is a full-length album of jazz standards performed by the guitar trio. This is an album of live recordings by Keishi Matsubara's Standard+ Trio, which has been focusing exclusively on jazz standards. The recording was engineered by Matsubara himself, who began learning recording after the Corona disaster, and he was particular about capturing the realism of the live performance and recording it in high sound quality. The album is a sincere attempt at jazz standards with two borderless musicians: bassist Kosuke Ochiai, who often visits Mongolia to study the Matouqin, and drummer Wataru Omura, who travels back and forth between India and Tokyo every year and is also a tabla player.
