The Flag of Kurgan Oblast is the official symbol representing the administrative division of northwestern Russia, specifically the region of Kurgan Oblast. Adopted on November 27, 1998, the flag consists of two equal horizontal bands in green and yellow. The green band occupies the top half, while the yellow band takes up the bottom half. At the center, there is a gold-colored stylized sun with eight rays. This design symbolizes the region's historical connection to Siberia, its agricultural fertility, and prosperity under the sun.
