The Lindy USB 3.1 Gen 1 C/C Active Extension with 5 m length supports data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. It is compatible with all devices with USB 3.1 connector Type C- or Thunderbolt 3. This includes, for example, memory sticks, tablets or smartphones.

The distance of 5 m, which is large for USB cables, is not a problem due to the active electronics used for this extension cable. Active cables have electronic circuitry embedded in the cable with integrated circuits. This is how impairments are compensated for. Due to this technology, active USB cables do not experience any losses even over long distances and still guarantee fast data transfer. So if you want to connect a device at a greater distance, you are well advised to use the Lindy active extension. If the length of 5 m is not sufficient, you can also connect two cables in a row. You can even connect a power supply to the DC jack if required. A power supply unit is not included in the scope of delivery.

Tin-plated copper conductors additionally contribute to a flawless data transmission. Both these and the gold-plated contacts furthermore reliably protect against corrosion. The PVC jacket is elastic and cold-resistant.
