Based on a true story, Luke Bedford (1978-), one of the leading composers of contemporary British music and the first composer-in-residence at the Wigmore Hall, has created an opera "Through his Teeth," a chamber opera with three singers and eight instrumentalists. This is the world premiere recording. The German conductor Klaus Zimon, who specializes in 20th century music, and his Holst Sinfonietta perform the opera, and the three singers are Sheli Caroline Thornhill (soprano), Shirin Kilic (mezzo-soprano), and Georg Getker (baritone). A 64-page booklet (in English and German) with libretto and interviews with the composers is included, as well as a leaflet with photos of the composers, artists, and scenes of the performances.
